About Me

I’m an NQT and secretly an ICT co-ordinator (although i’m not supposed to be).
I’m interested in how ICT can be used to improve engagement and learning, rather than just to meet government objectives.
At present, I’m not really sure what this blog will contain or whether it will be remotely interesting. We’ll see…

    Dear Sir,
I’ve just spent 20mins writing a reply/comment only to loose it because the e-mail was left out- I ‘ll learn. This is what life is all about and you are clearly intent on making it happen in school.
We can remain within the comfort zone and achieve little or slow progress or ,and I ‘m fully behind this approach, take up the challenge to innovate and move forward with courage of conviction.
The ideas posted here are excellent and ultimately to the benefit of our students and staff. Ofsted can only complain when little of no effort is made to improve the education and care of children. From my experience the Ofsted teams will support good practice and endorse measurable achievement. Our task is too benchmark what is happening today and then review and celebrate progress when the team arrives. The examples which will be available will blow their minds. You have already created 2 solid and powerful examples of outstanding achievement. The newsletter-a whole school -cross curriculum – doc,and the Year 7 Harvest movie. Both Ofsted Gold dust and more importantly child centred gold.
However, I have one serious concern- as you approach a very successful end of first term, you are burning out. It’s perfectly natural but must be factored in your work life sums. I’d like you to be with us for the long and exciting haul so please rest up , even if the sleep is short you must take breaks.
The future is going to be a rollercoaster with ups and downs but always going forward.
    Take care ,Mc.
ps. I’ve seen 2 movie clips but the sun is now out and the children need exercise so the work can wait until dark. Get out Mr J and enjoy the weekend.
